Qualcomm and Broadcom agrees to end two court disputes
Technology companies Qualcomm and Broadcom have together announced that they have decided to end two court disputes related to patent infringement lawsuits.
These two companies have been battling with each other legally over licensing agreements. These lawsuits are related to technologies related to cellphones, Bluetooth devices and wireless Internet equipment.
Qualcomm and Broadcom however declined to reveal the financial aspects of this latest deal between them.
One of these lawsuits had Broadcom claiming that Qualcomm infringed two of its patents. The second lawsuit had Qualcomm claiming that Broadcom violated two of its patents.
Christine Trimble, a Qualcomm spokeswoman added about the other pending lawsuits between the two companies: “Those cases are ongoing.”
Broadcom spokesman Bill Blanning claimed that they have 12 outstanding patent claims against Qualcomm. Qualcomm in return has six active counterclaims against Broadcom!
