Turbolinux starts shipping Wizpy handhelds
Japanese tech company Turbolinux has said that they have now begun shipping the first batch of its Wizpy handhelds to people who ordered them online from their website.
This yet another portable media player comes loaded with a version of Linux. This lets the user to boot into a PC using this USB powered device. As a result, they can access their own data and software from any machine.
Wizpy has been one of the most in-demand products on the online store on the company’s website. The device is being offered in 2 configurations: 2GB and 4GB. The Linux operating system itself takes up about 1GB, leaving either 1GB or 3GB available for data storage.
This means that there is just enough space for music. Storing a lot of video is a bit complicated.
The device currently seems to have issues working on the Mac platform. The company said that they would work on compatibility with Macs for future versions of the product.
