South Korea: Internet users to deliver and receive sense smells by 2015
South Korea believes that the internet would become capable enough to let people transfer and receive smell signals within the next decade.
They are also claiming that the technology would become so advance that we would have mobile batteries which can last 2 months on a single charge.
The South Korean information and communication ministry released this report after consulting with 3,500 local technology experts.
The report forecasted that each scent will be defined as digital data concerning aromatic compounds and how to combine them. This data could be delivered through the net enabling the other side to activate it through a fragrance cartridge.
The report further said that by 2015, soldiers will be offered bulletproof and waterproof uniforms. These uniforms would be smart enough to change camouflage patterns according to the environment.
