AMD launches AMD 690 series chipset powered with ATI technology

Microprocessor Company AMD has launched the first product developed with ATI technology in the form of AMD 690 series chipset.

This chipset from AMD combines the strengths of AMD CPU and platform technology with the industry-leading features of the ATI Radeon X1250 GPU.

AMD acquired ATI sometime ago and announced that they would start releasing products combining the technologies developed by both the companies.

AMD said that the new AMD 690 series chipset incorporates ATI Radeon X1250 graphics into its design. This is to ensure that the end user gets the best performance for the Vista operating system.

The company added that the AMD 690 series chipset delivers the power to make new features like Windows Flip and Windows Flip 3D an integral part of every business day.

This AMD 690 family is also the first of the AMD products with ATI technology to feature ATI Avivo technology.
