Olympus launches ultracompact Stylus 780
Olympus has launched a new ultracompact point-and-shoot camera in its Stylus range of products. This new product is the 7.1-megapixel Stylus 780.
This camera offers an f/3.3-5.0, 36mm-180mm 5x zoom lens (35mm equivalent) and a 230,000-pixel, 2.5-inch LCD with a moderately wide 140-degree viewing angle.
The company claims that the camera’s metal body is sealed against moisture and dust with rubber gaskets. The Stylus 780 also features a sensor-based optical image stabilization system and uses Olympus’s new TruePic III image processor to improve image quality and performance.
Olympus would make available this camera with a black or silver finish in May 2007. It is expected to be sold at price of around $349.99.
