Analysts: Apple to expand usage of Flash memory in products
Market analysts American Technology Research have suggested that the iPod maker Apple Inc is likely to expand their usage of the NAND Flash Memory.
The researchers said that the company is likely working on a sub-notebook which could include Flash memory based storage solutions.
The report was prepared after looking at the Apple’s supply chain. They concluded that the company is more or less likely to use NAND flash memory as the primary source of storage when it unveils the new sub-notebook.
The company has of course not commented on the rumors that they are working on this Mac hardware product though several Apple fan sites have talked about this possibility.
ATR analyst Shaw Wu added in the report that Apple will launch the notebook by the second half of this year to help capitalize on the recent growth of its Macintosh desktops and notebooks.
