Hitachi to sell Hewlett Packard computers in Japan
Japanese electronics maker Hitachi has said in a statement that they are expanding their collaboration with US based Hewlett Packard. They would now be selling personal computers made by Hewlett-Packard to businesses in Japan.
Interestingly, the two companies are already working together and HP provides Hitachi with servers.
With this announcement, HP machines would replace Hitachi’s existing range of Flora line business machines. Hitachi has however clarified that they would continue to sell in the country their Prius range of computing products.
Hewlett Packard is currently the world’s largest seller of personal computers. Hitachi claims that they sell about 350,000 business PCs and about 140,000 consumer-line personal computers a year.
