Samsung releases MH80 Series Hybrid Hard Drives

South Korean tech giant Samsung has shipped their first hybrid range of hard disk products. The company has released MH80 Series hybrid hard drive and they are now being delivered to retail markets for sale.

This new range of hard drives is available in capacities of 80GB, 120GB and 160GB.

These new disks have been optimized to perform at their best in Vista environment which has been developed to take advantage of these disks. The disks come with 128 or 256 megabytes of flash memory.

Using the Vista’s ReadyDrive technology, these drives would offer faster boot and resume times, increased battery life and greater reliability compared to traditional magnetic media technology. Samsung claims that these new disks offer up to five times the reliability of traditional notebook PC hard drives.
