Intel launches 50-watt L5320 and L5310 Server Processors
Intel has launched two new processors to expand their line of Xeon dual-core processors. These two new chips are energy-efficient processors L5320 and L5310 and they operate at 1.86 GHz and 1.60 GHz, respectively.
These two processors feature 8 Mbytes of on-die cache for faster memory data communication. Both the chips run on dedicated 1066-MHz front side buses.
Intel added that in bulk quantities, L5320 is priced at $519 each, and the L5310 at $455. The company further stated that these two processors can be coupled with Intel’s Bensley server platform.
The company added that these new processors would be featured on upcoming products from Acer, Dell, Digital Henge, Fujitsu Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, HCL, IBM, Rackable Systems, Samsung, Verari, Wipro, and other companies in the next couple of months.
