Skype now offering DUALphone 3088 from RTX Telecom

VoIP industry giant Skype is now offering an innovative solution in the form of a PBX-like dual phone system that lets users switch up to four callers between traditional landline calls and Skype VoIP calls.

This product is the DUALphone 3088 from RTX Telecom A/S which comes loaded with Skype software.

The device is capable of working with as many as four wireless handsets. It is also smart enough to differentiate between conference calls and intercom calls.

Manrique Brenes, Skype’s director of hardware business development said in a statement on this product offering: “The new DUALphone 3088 is an attractive option for multiple users who don’t need more than one Skype username and one regular telephone number and want to share these, be it in a small office or the family home.”

It is being made available at a retail price of USD 100. Additional handsets would cost more.
