Comcast said to be talking to Google, Yahoo, MSN and AOL for search and advertising deal
Market sources are claiming that Comcast is currently inviting and discussing bids for a deal related to advertising and search technology implementation on their websites.
The company is said to be in talks with several market giants including Google, Microsoft MSN, Yahoo! and AOL.
Comcast is currently using Google’s search engine technology on their website which as per market analysts received almost 17 million unique visitors in February.
Their contract with Google is due to end later this year. The company’s website has traditionally not shown advertising.
The company had invited bids late last year for a two-year contract for search services starting in 2008. They are also looking for bidders for their comcast.net web service.
