Yahoo! progressing well with their mobile search with OneSearch

Internet Company Yahoo! might be trailing Google in terms of the overall search engine market but they are doing well on the mobile platform.

Yahoo! has now introduced their new mobile search platform named OneSearch and it is designed to deliver locally relevant answers.

This service has been launched in the US market and they plan to expand the availability to other international markets in the coming months.

A Yahoo spokesperson said: “We are now putting search on every mobile phone that has a browser. We are delivering the results consumers want with just one search, not a list of Web links.”

Yahoo! is serving more than just search results with OneSearch. The results come with a list of actual information like news headlines from their news engine, images from Flickr and other content like business listings.

They have also signed up mobile search deals with several mobile phone makers including Nokia, Motorola Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and LG Electronics Inc.
