Other World Computing launches their Blu-Ray drives
Other World Computing has announced that their new Blu-Ray format based products are now available for both Windows and Mac platforms.
The company has released both internal and external Blu-Ray products. These drives cost between USD 559.99 to USD 649.99.
The Blu-Ray format has been developed by Sony and their partners and is already selling in huge numbers thanks to the Sony Playstation 3 gaming console which includes a Blu-Ray drive.
It is competing with Toshiba’s own HD DVD format.
The drives launched by OWC are backwards-compatible with DVD, DVD-RAM and CD formats.
The company is shipping full version of Roxio’s Toast 8 Titanium software with the drives for the Mac platform.
