Apple starts delivering Apple TV

iPod maker Apple Inc. has finally started selling their much hyped product Apple TV. The device is essentially a wireless set-top box designed to show video downloaded from the iTunes and other content on a machine to the television set.

The device is selling through the company’s website for a retail price of USD 299. It comes equipped with a 40GB hard disk for storing digital media. The storage capacity is enough to keep up to 50 hours of video.

Apple TV also comes with a remote control and the company says that the deliveries of the product would take up to 5 days. They also aim to sell it through resellers to ensure easy availability to the end consumer.

Market analysts have claimed that the Apple TV could be the next big product for Apple and it has the potential to become bigger than TiVo and Netflix.
