Hyundai Getz Prime available at Rs 3.89 lakh

South Korean automaker Hyundai is going offensive one again against the market leaders Maruti. The company has just relaunched their Getz as Getz Prime and it has been priced at around Rs 3.89 lakh.

Arvind Saxena, vice president (marketing and sales), HMIL spoke on this launch: “We are targeting to sell about 30,000 units of Getz Prime in domestic market, and 40,000 units in the export market during the remaining part of this calendar year.”

The car has been launched in two variants with 1.1 and 1.3 liter petrol engines. The car is now available within a price range Rs 3.89 lakh-Rs 5.24 lakh.

Maruti’s cheapest Swift model sells for Rs. 3.99 lakh and this latest move from Hyundai might force them to reconsider their pricing strategy with Swift.

GM is the third player in this segment with their UV-A. It’s priced similar to the Swift. And they might feel the heat from Hyundai Getz Prime as well.
