Sun Microsystems launches new updated UltraSparc IV+ processors
US based tech company Sun Microsystems has launched a couple of new UltraSparc IV+ processors. With this they have some new exciting products in the market. The company already sells products with processors from rivals Intel and Advanced Micro Devices.
The company added in a statement that these new 1.95GHz and 2.1GHz UltraSparc IV+ processors are available in its Sun Fire line of servers.
Sun added that these new latest UltraSparc IV+ processors ran twice as fast as the UltraSparc IV and five times faster than the UltraSparc III.
The Sun’s 1.95GHz processor is designed to run in Sun Fire E2900 and E6900 servers. Their 2.1GHz processor can run in those and five other server models.
