Apple on track to launch iPhone in June
We already have heard about the rumors that the Apple iPhone would hit the market on June 11. Apple itself has not announced a specific date yet.
However, the company has clarified that they are on track to launch their first mobile phone product the Apple iPhone in June this year.
Apple showcased the device earlier this year and has plans to sell at least 10 million units by the end of next year. The demand already seems to be overwhelming as AT&T has claimed to have received at least a million queries related to the phone from prospective customers.
Apple has this to say in an email to the interested customers: “Thanks for signing up. You’ll be the first to hear the latest about iPhone — coming this June. That gives you just enough time to think of ways to break the news to your current phone.”
Apple iPhone is going to retail for 499 dollars (4GB model) and 599 dollars (8GB model). It would be available exclusively through AT&T with a 2 year long contract in the United States.
