Centrino Pro: Intel adding vPro IT management to the Centrino wireless notebook package
Microprocessor industry giants Intel has announced that they are now adding their vPro IT management to the Centrino wireless notebook package.
The aim is to refresh their Centrino solution targeted at the mobile computing segment. Intel said that the PC vendors would begin selling their new products by June this year.
This new package is now called Centrino Pro and it combines the Centrino’s battery conservation and wireless connectivity with vPro’s automated network security and remote troubleshooting.
Market analysts believe that the timing is perfect for Intel to launch such a package considering notebook sales are growing and Microsoft just recently launched Vista which is now getting more people to consider moving from a desktop to a notebook.
