Addonics has cheap solution to use Flash media for PC startup

Addonics has announced their new solutions to enable faster boot up times on a personal computer using Compact Flash (CFI/II) media.

The company has launched a family of unique CF-IDE Hard Drive Adapters which are designed to let the user use one or two Compact Flash (CFI/II) media as a direct replacement for the 2.5″ IDE hard drive.

This means that notebook computers which use the 2.5″ IDE hard drive can now be converted to use the low power and shock resistant CF media.

After installation, the Compact Flash (CFI/II) media acts as an ordinary hard drive and can be configured to be used as a boot device.

The key features of this new product are:

Enable Compact Flash (CF) to be used like ordinary 2.5″ IDE hard drive

Choice of single slot or dual slots CF adapter
