Google Voice Local Search test launched
Search engine giant Google seems to have test launched a new service named Google Voice Local Search. The service’s website says that the service is essentially an experimental service developed to make it easier for the user to get access to local-business information.
The service is available in US by dialing a number from any phone. The number is 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-466-4411).
Google says that using this service a user can:
Search for a local business by name or category.
Get connected to the business, free of charge.
Get the details by SMS if you’re using a mobile phone.
The service is totally free from Google’s side. However, the customer might be required to pay the regular calling charges.
