Lexus LS 460 is 2007 World Car of the Year
Lexus LS 460 from Toyota has been picked to be the 2007 World Car of the Year by a panel of 44 automotive journalists from around the world.
The two major rivals who failed to beat the Lexus were Audi TT and the MINI. The award was announced at the New York International Auto Show.
The Lexus LS 460 features automatic parking system which is a first for any car in the world. It also comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The car also comes loaded with forward radar designed to help drivers avoid collisions.
The panel also awarded three specialty awards. Audi RS4 was named the top performance car. Mercedes-Benz E320 Bluetec received the award for top green car. And the Audi TT was named as the best designed.
