SanDisk and Yahoo launches Sansa Connect Wi-Fi MP3 player

Apple iPod and Microsoft Zune just got some potent competition. Internet giants Yahoo has collaborated with SanDisk and the two companies have launched the new Sansa Connect Wi-Fi-enabled MP3 player.

Sansa Connect owners are free to pick between the free or the subscription based packages from Yahoo! Music Store. They would not require a personal computer to get their songs.

In fact the device has been made to support Yahoo Flickr service and the owners of the device can also check out the photos loaded on the photo sharing service.

They would also be able to listen to LAUNCHcast Internet radio or listen to songs on other people using the same device.

Owners of the device would be able to listen to or download songs from Yahoo Music Unlimited To Go if they are subscribed to this service from the internet company.

Market analysts say that this new package from Yahoo! and SanDisk represents a new generation of digital music player which are able to do more than just copy songs from a personal computer.
