Yahoo to supply ads on Viacom network of web sites
Internet giant Yahoo! has announced that they have signed on a deal with Viacom and they would now exclusively supply online ads to their websites.
As a part of this deal, Yahoo would now power search ads at MTV.com, Nickelodeon.com and other sites run by entertainment company Viacom Inc.
This multiyear deal currently covers 33 Viacom sites and could possibly expand to more than 140 others. Some other sites to be provided Yahoo powered ads are VH1.com, ComedyCentral.com and BET.com.
Yahoo has managed to overcome the challenge provided by search engine industry leaders Google which also dominates the online advertising market.
Yahoo said that their ads would be supplied by their recently launched search marketing system, known as Panama.
