CBS Corp. enters deal with AOL, MSN, Comcast and others

CBS Corp. has confirmed the market rumors that they are going to offer their popular programs through web services.

The company has now announced that they have now created a broad Internet distribution vehicle for its popular programs.

CBS has signed deals with 10 partners which includes some big names including MSN, AOL and Comcast. They would be offering their popular shows like “CSI,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Survivor” and “CBS Evening News with Katie Couric” online.

The media company added that they would also be making available programming content from their video library.

Interestingly, they are also collaborating with Internet video services including Cnet, Joost, Sling Media, Veoh and Brightcove along with social networking services Bebo and Netvibes.

CBS Interactive President Quincy Smith added: “We don’t want to be exclusive with anybody, because nobody should expect a content company to be. I don’t think the world needs another portal.”
