Google Checkout now available in Britain
Google’s PayPal challenger service Google Checkout has been launched in the UK market. Google has for the first time taken their Checkout service outside the United States.
The search engine giant said in a statement that the service is now available to interested retailers in the region.
Google Checkout is basically an online payment service which allows the consumers to pay for online purchases at participating retailers through their Google account without revealing their credit card details.
UK is already the second largest market for Google after the United States. Market analysts expect Google to expand the availability to other European countries in the coming months.
Google has also announced that they are offering to waive processing fees for all retailers through the end of the year.
