HP’s new printers use innovative Edgeline Technology

US based tech giant Hewlett Packard has launched their new high-end enterprise printers which uses their innovative Edgeline Technology.

The company claims that these new printers are both easier to use and faster than current generation of printers. HP added that they developed these new printers for the high-volume, enterprise environments. These can also be used by small businesses as they provide the combined benefits of ink and laser in a single device.

HP’s higher-end CM8060 costs around $23,500 and has the capacity to deliver 60 black-and-white or 50 color pages per minute (ppm).

The other model is the CM8050 which costs around $19,000. It can churn out black-and-white copies at 50 pages per minute, and color at 40 ppm.

HP added that for increased speeds to print the pages, these printers use large, stationary printheads — arranged in a line — to dispense ink across the entire width of the page as the paper passes beneath them.
