Palm Treo 680 Smartphone now available in India
Palm has launched their Palm Treo 680 Smartphone in the Indian market. The phone is essentially a GSM/GPRS/EDGE quad-band world phone and it has been priced at Rs. 25,500.
The phone is powered by the Palm OS and comes with an internal antenna giving it a streamlined look. Palm Treo 680 comes with a full, easy-type keyboard.
The device can also be used as a fully functional MP3 player and it also comes loaded with an integrated digital camera. It can also capture videos. The device also works as a capable video file player.
Palm added that the device comes loaded with the Blazer 4.5 browser and built-in dial-up networking. Owners of this Smartphone would be able to use the new Smartphone as a wireless modem via Bluetooth wireless technology to connect to a compatible Bluetooth enabled laptop.
The phone comes with applications capable of opening and editing Microsoft Word and Excel documents. Users are also able to view PDF and MS PowerPoint files.
Palm further claimed that they are shipping the device with many additional features like the Exchange ActiveSync. The phone comes loaded with 64MB of user-available storage and supports up to 2GB of storage with expansion cards.
