.biz to get expensive as well

NeuStar Inc., the operator of “.biz” domain names has announced their plans to increase the rates of these domain names.

This comes after the operators managing the “.com,” “.net,” “.org” and “.info” has announced increases beginning in mid-October in the wholesale market.

These increases are possible due to a recent decision taken by the “.com,” “.net,” “.org” and “.info” has announced increases beginning in mid-October in the wholesale which agreed to new contract terms in December.

They are now permitting the operators to hike of up to 10 percent a year upon six months’ notice. NeuStar has announced that they are going to raise the prices by around 7 percent to $6.42, starting Oct. 19.

NeuStar said in a statement that they are taking this decision to bring the prices of the .biz domains to bring on par with those of competing global TLDs.
