Google working hard on growing in China
Google is the second most popular web search engine in the Chinese market. The company keeps on enhancing their services to try to overtake Baidu.com.
The US based giant has now said that they are giving its local managers more autonomy. In addition, Google is also investing more in their operations in china.
Google CEO Eric Schmidt said in a statement: “We are catching up. Our investment is working and we will eventually be the leader.”
Baidu continues to dominate the Chinese web search market with a market share of 55 percent. Google is second with a 22 percent market share.
Schmidt said that they have enough resources to compete with Baidu and overtake in the future. He added: “One of the big projects this year is to push more autonomy and more decision-making to Kai-Fu and his team.”
