Iran to censor mobile text messages
Iran’s Telecommunications Ministry has now said that they are now going to censor mobile text messages.
They are planning to start filtering “immoral” video and audio messages sent via mobile phones in the region.
The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution has already instructed the government to acquire the requisite technology to implement this censor on the country’s mobile networks.
A news report stated that: “in order to prevent possible misuse of MMS, immoral actions and social problems, the Telecommunications Ministry will filter immoral MMS.”
Not much detail is available on what kind of content they are planning to censor on mobile messaging.
