Intel believes they would benefit from 45-nanometer processors
Intel CEO Paul Otellini has said in a statement that the company believes that they would benefit from their upcoming new generation of processors based on the 45-nanometer technology.
Intel believes that this would help them enhance profits from the ever increasing sales of the laptops in the market. In addition, they are also likely to gain from the emerging mobile Internet devices segment.
Otellini said: “One year ago, I talked about how Intel needed to add to its gene pool a focus on efficiency and cost that we didn’t have at the time.”
He added that the company has successfully restructured their business operations and their operations are more streamlined now.
Otellini further said that now that they have reduced their overhead costs, they are now more capable of entering the new markets with their new products which should help them enhance their revenues.
