Yahoo launches OneSearch in Europe and Canada
Search engine giant Yahoo! has announced that they have now extended their OneSearch search service to Europe and Canada.
The service has been designed to help the user by providing location optimized answers. They are now providing this search system in United States, Britain, Spain, Italy, Germany, France and Canada.
Yahoo has been working hard to expand their mobile search services to stay ahead of the competition from Google. They are struggling to compete with Google on the desktop search market. They do not want to end up losing the lead in the mobile search segment.
Geraldine Wilson, who heads Yahoo’s Connected Life business unit in Europe spoke on the service launch: “What consumers want from a mobile search is entirely different to what they want on the PC.”
The company said that the service is optimized to enable people to search for a keyword and they would get results which are relevant to where they are located at that moment.
