Asus launches MM221U and MW201U LCD monitors

Asus Technology has launched two new LCD monitors with Vista certification in the Indian market. These two new models are MM221U and the MW201U LCD monitors.

The company said that both of these models have passed the WHQL tests and are both certified for Windows Vista Premium version.

Asus added that MW221U has the fastest 2ms response time and HDCP supported 22-inch widescreen monitor. It delivers resolution of up to 1680 x 1050 and wide viewing angles.

The screen space is large enough to fit two A4 size pages side by side on screen. This wide screen would complement the newly introduced features in the Vista operating system like the Windows Sidebar.

Both of these new LCD screens display 16.7 million colors and come equipped with Asus Splendid Video Intelligence Technology.

The company added that both of these new LCD monitors support HDPC and have built-in DVI input; which is one of requirements for being certified for Windows Vista Premium version. The monitors also feature built-in stereo speakers and earphone jacks. The two models have been priced at Rs. 23,500 and Rs. 19,000 plus taxes.
