Yahoo! closing down US and Canada auction sites
US based internet giants Yahoo! has announced that they are now closing down their Auction services in USA and Canada.
The company said that they are now going to serve the customers through other of their Yahoo properties. This decision does not affect their Auction services in other regions including Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
Yahoo revealed that they are going to close down the US and Canada Auctions sites on June 16 this year. This gives their customers enough time to close down their deals.
The company added that they would continue to provide their sellers, bidders, and buyers with quality customer care and a limited set of features and tools through October 29, 2007.
Some other relevant dates as per the website:
• Last day to list an item: June 3, 2007
• Listings will not auto re-submit after June 3, 2007. (This could mean that your listings may not be submitted 5 times)
• Last day to Bid/Buy: June 16, 2007
• Last day to access remaining site tools such as My Account: October 29, 2007
Interested users at Yahoo can now use other similar services at: Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo! Autos, Yahoo! Classified, and Yahoo! Small Business.
