Samsung ships Q1 Ultra UMPC

South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced that they are now shipping their second generation ultra mobile personal computer Q1 Ultra.

The first generation Q1 was launched in collaboration with Intel and Microsoft as they aimed to develop a new range of portable computing devices.

Samsung claims that the Q1 Ultra offers longer battery life, a faster processor, and broader support for mobile technologies.

They are selling it for prices starting at USD 799 and it would be offered through retail stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, and Amazon.com.

Samsung claims that this new edition provides a battery life of 4.5 hours of continuous runtime and it is also slightly lighter at around 1.5 pounds.
