Motorola set to launch a movie playing capable mobile phone
With Apple scheduled to launch their iPhone in the market, Motorola needs to do something special to keep their market share intact in the market.
The company has revealed that they would soon launch some new 3G enabled devices in the market which would be capable of playing movies.
Motorola Chief Executive Ed Zander said in a statement that their upcoming products would feature full-motion video display and would be capable of playing feature films on small removable storage cards.
He said: “We are going to show a device next week. It is a media monster.”
Looks like the company has finally admitted that they need to give the end user more flexibility with the storage media and the device needs to be more capable.
Interestingly, Motorola would be focusing on the European market with their new upcoming mobile devices. Zander added that they are collaborating with another company that can fit feature-length movies on the SD storage cards to be used on these upcoming mobile devices.
He said: “We are working with another company to deliver movies on SD cards. You can start watching unbelievable quality movies.”
