Nokia: Phones would soon alert the users after full recharge
Mobile phone maker Nokia has said that mobile phones would soon feature a technology which would enable them to alert the user when they are fully charged.
This would help conserve the energy as the user would know when to turn off the phone’s charger. Nokia plans to roll out this technology across its device range.
The company said that if the mobile phones alert the user sounding a beep and displaying an alert — “Battery is full, please unplug the charger”, it could potentially save enough electricity to power 85,000 homes annually.
They are already considering working with other mobile industry companies on measures to reduce energy consumption and reduce pollution in partnership with the European Commission.
Some of the first phones from the company to feature this upcoming technology would be 1200, 1208 and 1650 phone models.
