Ask to launch Ask Mobile GPS search service

IAC/InterActiveCorp has said in a statement that they would soon launch a new mobile application for its Ask.com Web search service.

The company claims that this new search service would enable the mobile users to find shops and services they want around the location they are present at that very moment.

This service would be called Ask Mobile GPS and would initially be available through U.S. wireless operator Sprint Nextel.

It would be powered through a partnership between the carrier and WaveMarket which provides location-based services for mobile phones.

The developers behind the service added that this upcoming service would also feature other IAC’s family of Internet brands including their Citysearch guide.
