Maruti to launch updated Grand Vitara soon
Maruti seems to be on fire these days. The company has launched two super exciting products in the recent times including a diesel version of their Swift premium hatchback and the SX4 sedan.
They are now preparing to launch an updated version of their not so hot Grand Vitara SUV. MUL Chief General Manager Mayank Pareek said in a statement on their plans: “We have launched five new models in two-and-a-half years. We plan to launch the Grand Vitara in the next few months.”
The recently launched Maruti SX4 has been placed to compete with Honda City in the Indian market. The company has priced this sedan between Rs 6.31 lakh and Rs 7.37 lakh (ex-showroom) in Chennai.
A company representative spoke about SX4 that this model has 79 per cent localization and has been powered with Suzuki’s M-Series engine. Disappointing, Maruti currently has no plans to launch a diesel version of the SX4.
We had personally liked the company to launch a SUV version of SX4 which looks pretty cool. Check out the image below.
