LG.Philips showcases their A4 Color ‘E-Paper’ Display technology
LG.Philips LCD has revealed that they have developed the world’s first 14.1-inch color screen that is as flexible as paper.
The company claims that this product showcases the next generation in display technology. LG.Philips said in a statement that the display uses electronic circuits formed on a thin metal panel rather than glass.
This makes the E-Paper flexible enough to be bent and rolled up.
LG.Philips further said that this technology could further make it possible for tech companies to come out with slimmer portable media products like mobile phones and portable media players.
Incidentally, E-Paper is being developed by several tech companies around the world. LG.Philips are claiming that their product is the first flexible color display of A4-paper size.
