Nokia expects their market share to improve in the coming months

World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has said in a statement that they are hoping to improve upon their market share in the coming months.

Nokia said that its share of the global handset market will grow during the second quarter to more than 36 percent.

They had previously said that they expected their market share to remain around the same in the future as they face intense competition in the global mobile phone market.

This company statement helped the Nokia shares at the market as they jumped more than 4 percent after the update, rising $1.01 to $26.07.

Nokia expects to gain some market share as their nearest rival Motorola is struggling in their key markets with not so impressive sales. Motorola has failed to come out with a popular replacement for their RAZR range of mobile phones which became popular around the world.
