Apple updates MacBooks with faster processors and more RAM
Apple might be rumored to be working on Flash Memory notebook products but they certainly are not giving out any information on that.
The company has however upgraded their MacBook® consumer notebooks. These new updated versions come with faster Intel Core 2 Duo processors, 1GB of memory and larger hard drives in every model.
Apple MacBook notebooks are just one-inch thin and features built-in 802.11n wireless networking. These notebooks also come with built-in iSight® video camera for on-the-go video conferencing along with the company’s MagSafe® Power Adapter that safely disconnects when under strain.
Of course, Apple ships these products with their Mac OS X along with iLife® ‘06, Apple’s award-winning suite of digital lifestyle applications.
Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing spoke on these updated MacBook models: “The MacBook is a huge hit with customers, and is one of the reasons that Mac sales are growing three times faster than PC sales. The new MacBook is faster, has even more memory and storage, and is an ideal notebook for customers’ growing library of digital music, photos and movies.”
There are three models of MacBook available:
Model 1: 2.0 GHz, 13-inch white MacBook
Model 2: 2.16 GHz, 13-inch white MacBook
Model 3: 2.16 GHz, 13-inch black MacBook
