Motorola launches ROKR Z6

Motorola has launched their latest product in their ROKR range with the newly introduced ROKR Z6.

Market analysts believe that this phone has been prepared to take on the upcoming challenge from Apple iPhone.

This phone has been designed to be a media player and Motorola is collaborating with Napster to give music fans even easier access to millions of songs on the go.

The Motorola ROKR Z6 features full MP3 player capabilities. It comes equipped with Windows Media technologies, including Windows Media Audio (WMA) Windows Media DRM 10, and media transfer protocol (MTP).

Owners of this phone would be able to use the phone using Windows Media Player 10 or 11.

Chris White, senior director, Mobile Devices Multimedia Entertainment, Motorola spoke about this new product: “The new ROKR music handsets are a true convergence of the MP3 player and mobile phone. These innovative devices are packed with the features mobile consumers demand today, including easy PC syncing and access to hundreds of music stores.”

The phone comes equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology. This would enable the owners to enjoy a wireless mobile stereo experience on the go with compatible Bluetooth-enabled stereo headphones.

Motorola is making available their ROKR S9 wrap-around headset to complement this newly launched mobile phone device.

The phone features a slim slider design and the company claims that it would provide high performance music experience and extraordinary picture and video capture capabilities.

It would come loaded with 2GB of optional removable microSD memory and 64MB on board memory. The phone has dedicated music key that launches the music library and file sorter.

Airplane mode
Messaging via MMS, SMS, IM, Email/POP3
Mobile Phone Tools support for PC sync of phone book, contacts, and media
