Google to unveil Universal Search for unified search results
Search engine industry giant Google has announced that they would now offer Universal Search service which would combine the results from their regular search services.
Marissa Mayer, Google vice president of search and user experience said in a statement that they are excited about the launch and plan to add new features to it in the future.
Mayer said that this new search service from the company would combine the results from their search engines like books, local information, images, news, and video.
Mayer added: “It’s breaking down the silos of information that have been built up. It’s a broad, long-term vision that will unfold over the next few years. We are really excited about what Universal Search could evolve to in the future.”
Google has also updated their site and search pages with new navigation features at the top to make the features more accessible to the visitor.
