Apple iPhone approved for sale by the Federal Communications Commission
Apple Inc. has confirmed that they have received the approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission to sell their upcoming Apple iPhone device.
The company has gained the approval to sell the mobile phone product in the US market. The news of this approval helped the company improve its share price at the stock market.
Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris confirmed in a statement: “The iPhone has passed its required FCC certification milestone and is on schedule to ship in late June as planned.”
Shaw Wu, an analyst with American Technology Research spoke about this new development: “That’s the primary reason why the stock’s up today. They are a brand new player in this space, so it is a big deal.”
Apple would be launching the iPhone device next month in the United States through AT&T. It would be sold in two variants starting at USD 499.
