Optimus Maximus keyboard to sell for $1,564.37

Russian designer Artemy Lebedev has confirmed that he would finally start taking preorders for his Optimus Maximus keyboard which has been making a lot of news on the web especially social networking sites like Digg and blogs.

The keyboard would sell for USD 1,564.37 which is good enough to buy you a pretty high end notebook machine!

Lebedev said that interested buyer should place in their orders as early as possible as only 800 keyboards are going to be made during the first three months of production.

The keyboard is so expensive because all of its 114 keys are topped with a tiny, customizable OLED screens.

The preorders can be made starting this May 20 and the first of the units are expected to come out of the manufacturing plant in November this year.
