Hewlett-Packard to launch HP Compaq 2510p, and the HP Compaq 2710 tablet with LED Displays
World’s largest personal computer maker Hewlett Packard has announced that they would soon launch some new mobile PCs with LED Displays.
The company now aims to ship an ultra-light notebook and a tablet PC with light-emitting diode displays by the third quarter of the year.
HP claims that these displays would be more durable and lighter than liquid-crystal displays found on most current generation notebooks.
The company announced that this new technology would be delivered on the ultra-light HP Compaq 2510p, and the HP Compaq 2710 tablet.
LED Displays traditionally uses more power than LCDs but HP said that they have minimized the requirement through the use of its own technology in what it calls an Illumi-Lite display.
