Branson unhappy with the French system to let mobile users change their service providers
Virgin Mobile boss Richard Branson has said in a statement that he is not happy with the recently implemented service which allows the mobile user to change his service provider.
Branson said that the time period taken to undergo this process (which comes to around 10 days) is too long.
He did however say that it was a big step in the right direction and excellent news for consumers.
Branson claimed that in UK mobile users can change their service providers from one day to the next.
He added: “I don’t see why French consumers cannot benefit from the same freedom.”
Richard Branson further claimed that his Virgin Mobile currently has a subscriber base of nearly half a million subscribers in France.
He expect this number to grow to a million subscribers earlier than their expectations.
