T-Mobile Wing to be powered by Windows Mobile 6 platform
US based mobile service provider T-Mobile is going to launch their new mobile product named T-Mobile Wing which would become the first product of its kind to be powered by the Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6 platform.
The company said that this new device would feature improved handling of e-mail and tougher security.
T-Mobile Wing would be sold for USD 299 with a two-year contract. The new platform has been designed by the software giant to take on rivals in the market including RIM Blackberry and the upcoming Apple iPhone.
Microsoft said that the platform has been designed to make it easier for the owners to easily synchronize their data with Windows Vista computers via Bluetooth wireless connections.
T-Mobile said that their Wing device features a 40-key keyboard that slides out from underneath the 2.8-inch touchscreen. It would be capable of connecting to Wi-Fi hotspots.
