MySpace.com to offer Political Fund-Raising Tools to presidential candidates
News Corp. has revealed that they would offer fund raising tools to the candidates who have set up their campaign pages on the MySpace.com social networking service.
MySpace.com is also planning a viral tool for campaign fund raising as well as best-practice standards for candidates’ MySpace pages.
These facilities would be equally provided to all the candidates so they hope to raise no controversies with this initiative.
The aim is to provide the declared candidates who have set up MySpace pages, a tool to allow their visitors to pledge donations.
However, the controversial thing is that the user would put in the amount to be donated on the MySpace website though the transaction would be carried by another service.
This could possible result in a situation where the media group News Corp. would be able to get some figures on how much donations a particular candidate is getting from this online initiative.
